Designing solutions, sharing knowledge
I'm Jun An, structural engineer, responsible for the structural integrity of this transportation installation of top sides. The thing that I'm most proud of working in DNV must be the structural analysis that I've actually created and designed, because once you actually get to see the actual products on site, it's really satisfying. In DNV, actually, there are a lot of experienced people, but I've never once actually felt that I have a big gap between these people, because people are interacting and connecting with one another. We share our knowledge as well as experience with one another. We have on-job training, which I think is very beneficial for early career starters like myself about three years ago. We actually have our seniors that are guiding us and engineers. Besides that, we have this annual Next Generation Summit where delegates from all around the world meet face-to-face to discuss the ideas that was created. The senior management will select these ideas to see if it's worth discovering for DNV. All of the delegates will be assigned a senior management mentor, where this mentor will guide us through a few weeks of our mentorship program where we exchange ideas and mentors coach us on how to be successful in our career as well as in our personal development. This personal development help us to be more prepared in addressing customers' needs and expectations.
